About me
I am an independent human rights consultant, international lawyer and academic with over 15 years’ experience in the human rights sector.
I am dedicated to conducting applied research that has a meaningful, real-world impact, particularly in advancing the practical application of international law.
I am most passionate about children’s rights and have specific expertise in child protection, particularly in the areas of children and armed conflict and children in the justice system. I am also deeply interested in the challenges faced in post-conflict and developing contexts, and have focused in particular on transitional justice and how societies emerging from conflict address the legacies of mass atrocities. I have consulted for international organisations, non-governmental organisations and academic institutions on these topics, but also on other areas of human rights and international law, including the protection of detainees, victims of torture and other forms of violence, the repression of human rights defenders and gender-based violence. This diverse experience has strengthened my commitment to making a tangible difference to people’s lives.
